A gorgeous, Double Sided, Solid Crystal Opal from the and somewhat extinct Mintabie Opal Mine of South Australia.
The town of Mintabie and its opal fields were closed to the public over 6 years ago, access is now strictly limited, as a direct result this material is becoming increasingly rare!
Displaying bright blue and green colouration in floral, flag and chaff patterns on both sides.
