A gorgeous, Solid South Australian Dark Opal from the now closed Mintabie Opal mines.
The town of Mintabie and its opal fields were closed to the public over 6 years ago, access is now strictly limited, as a direct result this material is becoming increasingly rare!
This stone displays suspended orange, green and blue colouration in flag and striation patterns.
Cut to a freeform shape by Isaac Andreou himself when he was just 12 years old!
