An Opalised Belemnite Geological Specimen from South Australia.
These specimens come from the extinct Belemnite, a squid like creature that lived in our oceans over 100 million years ago.
This specimen displays predominantly purple colouration.
These types of specimens are ever growing in rarity, making them highly appealing to opal collectors and rockhounds.

I bought the 20 + rough parcel and received 21 plus I managed to cut a couple in half, so 23 in total. Found some nice colour and made my money back off the first five so bought another lot and a kilo of rough.
