A stunning, Unique Culmination of a layer of Crystal Opal over Natural “Mother of Matrix” Opal from Andamooka, South Australia.
This natural opal type is often treated to make the famous Black Andamooka Matrix Opal, but in this case the gem quality nature combined with the layer of higher quality Crystal on top dictated the wonderful finish as seen here.
This stone displays vibrant orange, yellow, metallic green and blue colouration in dazzling flag, pinfire and chaff patterns!
Cut to a highly desirable large oval cabochon with a high quality finishing polish.
