A rare Opalised partial Shell Geological Specimen from Lightning Ridge.
This specimen now displays predominantly potch opal that has replaced the original shell grain.
These types of specimens are ever growing in rarity, making them highly appealing to opal collectors and rockhounds.

Anyone that buys these knows it’s 1/1000 to find a crystal center. Unfortunately that didn't happen this time. But the size of the large nut exceeds the size of a baseball. Very large. I’ll keep trying though
