The Set in Stone Offer gives customers the opportunity to purchase selected opals with the option to request resale assistance through Opal Whisperers after a minimum period of five years.

While opals may increase in value over time, future prices can never be guaranteed. Opal values depend on market demand, rarity, quality, buyer interest, and conditions at the time of resale.

With over 60 years of family experience in the opal industry, Opal Whisperers is well placed to assist customers who may wish to resell their opal in the future through our dedicated Set in Stone resale platform.

Minimum Holding Period

Customers must hold their opal for a minimum of five years from the original date of purchase before it may be submitted for consideration for resale through Opal Whisperers.

Resale Option

After the five-year minimum period, customers may request that Opal Whisperers assist with reselling the opal on their behalf.

Acceptance for resale is at the discretion of the Opal Whisperers family.

To be considered, the opal must be in the same condition and quality as when it was originally sold. Any damage, alterations, wear, setting changes, or changes in condition may affect whether the opal is accepted for resale and may also affect the resale result.

Resale Value

A resale value cannot be confirmed in advance. Any suggested resale price will be assessed at the time the opal is submitted and will depend on the market, demand, rarity, quality, and buyer interest at that time.

Resale Fees

Where Opal Whisperers agrees to resell the opal, the following fees apply:

• 10% resale service fee
• 10% marketing fee
• 10% commission fee

This equals a total of 30% of the final sale price, which will be deducted once the opal is sold.

Opal Whisperers will always aim to achieve the best possible resale result. As the outcome benefits both the customer and Opal Whisperers, we will do our best to present and promote the opal strongly through our resale platform.

By purchasing through the Set in Stone Offer, the customer understands and accepts these terms, including the five-year minimum period, resale being subject to acceptance, condition requirements, changing market values, and applicable resale fees.
