Australian 3.9cts - Quality Gem, Solid Boulder Opal from Koroit

This opal has a near full face of colour displaying oceanic blue and green.

Gems like this from them Koroit opal field are very rare because it produces a high percentage of only matrix material. Such a gem has pooled within the matrix producing an excellent intensity of colour.

Cut to a calibrated oval making it perfect and more affordable for a general casting setting
